Comment on this Command
This command teachers us to clear away the record of those who have wronged or hurt us and that allows God to love them through us and free then from guilt and shame. Through taking this step we develop forgiveness which replaces rejection and further bitterness in us.
What lies behind you and what lies in front of you pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Don't try to escape suffering; rather give yourself to it, for tears mark the earthly path of God's elect. but blessed are those who weep here, for one day above they will laugh and be filled with joy beyond measure.

A false witness will not go unpunished, and whoever pours out lies will not go free.
Proverbs 19:5
[The shepherds] hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby [Jesus], who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed... But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
