WORD FROM SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Psalm 51:10, 12 (NIV®)
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me … Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
REFLECTION
REVIVAL IS THE RENEWAL AND RESTORATION OF SOMETHING THAT WAS ONCE ALIVE AND VIBRANT
We should pray for revival in our land. Revival is the renewal and restoration of something that was once alive and vibrant but has fallen into a state of lifelessness or inactivity. Spiritual revival doesn’t mean pagans repent or the ungodly change; spiritual revival is life change that comes in God’s people—Jesus-followers like you and me. When we ask God to purify, restore, and renew us, we will open the door for the Holy Spirit to work in greater ways. We will unleash His power in our hearts and learn to cooperate with Him more fully. When we begin to say yes to His invitations, the good news about Jesus of Nazareth will spread and transformation will come—one heart, one community at a time, until we will be able to see a discernible change in our culture. The process of change will not be easy—worthwhile things usually aren’t—but we are called to persevere in it.

Never criticise servants to their master. You will be cursed and suffer for it.”
Proverbs 30:10
“To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy — to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”
Jude 1:24-25
“Let your heart brim over with never-ending forgiveness for your neighbour, even when he wrongs you time and again. And God will bathe you in his mercy and let you drink from his rivers of delight."
