Quote for Today
“The older I get, the greater power I seem to have to help the world; I am like a snowball - the further I am rolled, the more I gain. ”

WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY
Colossians 1:13-14 (MSG®)
“God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in.”
REFLECTION
GOD SENT HIS ONLY SON FROM THE GLORIES OF HEAVEN INTO THE DOMINION OF DARKNESS
In 2018, the world watched as a youth soccer team in Thailand was rescued from a flooded cave. On June 23, twelve boys and their coach had gone spelunking with no idea heavy rains would soon trap them inside. On July 2, rescue divers found them perched on a rock about two and a half miles from the entrance. An international team, including over one hundred divers, brought them out between July 8-10. One diver died during the rescue and another died afterward. I cannot imagine the joy the boys felt when they breathed fresh air and knew they had survived or the sorrow they felt upon learning men had died on their behalf. I think we undervalue the rescue mission God launched for us. He sent His only Son from the glories of Heaven into the dominion of darkness, knowing He would suffer and die. That is the depth of God’s love for us.
