WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY

John 3:3 (NLT®)

“Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.””

REFLECTION

HAVE YOU CHOSEN JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR AND LORD?

I live in the American South, which is predominately Christian. People here often consider themselves to be Christian unless they have declared themselves to be something else—Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, pagan, atheist, agnostic, etc. They think they are Christians by default. They may have grown up in a Christian home. They may have been taken to church all their lives and understood the basics of faith. But they have never chosen Jesus as Lord and have no personal relationship with Him. While this may be comforting to them, it is a false comfort because this “cultural Christianity” does not qualify them for the Kingdom of God and all the blessings it includes. Jesus said we must be born again. So, there are not born-again Christians and not-born-again Christians. Every authentic Christian is born again and has a personal relationship with Jesus of Nazareth. I urge you—don’t drift along in a cultural assumption of Christianity. Make Jesus Lord of your life, and be assured that you are a true participant in His Kingdom.

ASSURANCE VS ASSUMPTION

HAVE YOU CHOSEN JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOUR AND LORD?

THINK ABOUT IT

If you do not remember when you have ever prayed a prayer to believe in and receive Jesus and meant it, let this be the day. If you have, help someone else into God’s Kingdom.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I am a sinner, and I need a Savior. I believe Jesus of Nazareth is Your Son and that He died on a Roman cross for my sin. Lord, forgive me of my sin, and I forgive all who have sinned against me. Jesus, I want to serve You. Be Lord of my life—of all that I am and all that I have. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom. In Your name, Amen.
