WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY
1 Corinthians 15:3-4:
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures."
REFLECTION
EASTER AND IT’S IMPORTANCE FOR CHRISTIANS
Jesus died but He did not stay dead. He rose from the dead! That is why many people call Easter, Resurrection Sunday, because that is exactly what it is. Through his death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus giving all those who truly believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.
The Bible makes it clear that Jesus was resurrected on the first day of the week, Sunday (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:2,9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19). Jesus’ resurrection is most worthy of being celebrated (see 1 Corinthians 15).
On Easter remind everyone why Christians celebrate Easter, it’s not about hiding colourful eggs, it’s about Jesus sacrificing his life to save us!

THIS IS WHY CHRISTIANS CELEBRATE EASTER!
EASTER AND IT’S IMPORTANCE FOR CHRISTIANS
As a follower of Jesus, the five most important aspects of Easter that I should deeply reflect on and apply to my life are: 1. Christ’s Sacrificial Love (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” • Jesus endured the cross because of His unfathomable love for us. In response, we must live in this love daily—loving God wholeheartedly and loving others selflessly. Our lives should be a reflection of this sacrificial love, forgiving those who hurt us and serving others with humility. 2. The Power of the Cross (Colossians 2:14-15) “He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.” • The cross is where our sins were paid for in full! We no longer live in guilt or shame but in freedom and victory. This should lead us to a life of repentance, gratitude, and boldness in our faith, refusing to return to the chains of sin. 3. Victory Over Death and Sin (1 Corinthians 15:55-57) “‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ … But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” • Jesus' resurrection conquered sin, death, and hell! This means we should live as victorious believers, not defeated ones—standing firm in faith, rejecting fear, and walking in the power of the risen Christ every single day. 4. A Call to Live in Newness of Life (Romans 6:4) “Just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” • Easter reminds us that we are no longer the same. As new creations in Christ, we must put away our old ways, live in holiness, and seek to be more like Jesus in everything—our thoughts, words, and actions. 5. The Urgency of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” • The resurrection isn’t just good news for us—it’s the hope the whole world needs! Our mission is clear: we must share the Gospel boldly, live as ambassadors of Christ, and make disciples everywhere we go. Final Thought Easter is not just an event to celebrate—it’s a reality that should transform our lives every day! Live in His love, walk in His victory, embrace the new life He has given, and boldly proclaim His name to the world. Jesus is alive, and because He lives, we live for Him!

O Sovereign and Almighty God, my heart overflows with gratitude as I stand in the light of Easter! You, the Holy and Righteous One, sent Your Son, Jesus Christ, to take my place, to bear my sins, to suffer my punishment, and to die my death. How can I ever comprehend such love? The cross, meant for my shame, became the place of my redemption. The blood of Jesus, pure and sinless, washed away my guilt forever! Thank You, Father, for the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, for His obedience, for His love that held Him to that cross for me! But death could not hold Him! The grave could not keep Him! On the third day, He rose in power, declaring victory over sin, death, and hell! Hallelujah! Jesus is alive! And because He lives, I am no longer bound by sin. Because He lives, I have been made new. Because He lives, I have the hope of eternal life! What an indescribable gift! I did nothing to earn it, yet You freely gave it. Lord, let me never take this salvation for granted. Let my life be a continual offering of thanksgiving to You. May I walk in obedience, pursue holiness, and live as a witness to the resurrection power of Jesus! So today, I surrender again. Take all that I am—my heart, my mind, my soul, my strength. Let every word I speak, every action I take, and every breath I breathe bring glory to Your name. May I never be silent about what You have done for me. Fill me with boldness to share the Good News of Easter with the world! Use me, Lord, to bring others into the joy of knowing You. Thank You, Jesus, for the cross. Thank You, Jesus, for the empty tomb. Thank You, Jesus, for new life! I love You, I worship You, and I give You all the praise, now and forever! Amen!
