WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NLT®)

“I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”

REFLECTION

GOD IS ALWAYS MOVING TO FULFILL HIS PLAN FOR HIS CREATION

God had allowed His people to be taken captive to Babylon, but He wanted them to know He still cared about them and had good plans for their future. He wanted them to know if they prayed to Him, He would hear them, and if they sought Him earnestly, He would be found. We certainly did not choose to take part in a pandemic. It has changed our lives in ways we couldn’t have imagined, and sometimes we feel like it took us captive. But in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty, God has been moving. We cannot go back to where we were before because that place no longer exists. But we can seek God and allow Him to lead us in a better direction.

THINK ABOUT IT

Let’s turn our faces toward Him and be diligent in prayer. Let’s join with Him in writing a new future.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, I want to learn to realign and follow Your direction. I repent of trusting in myself or others more than You. Holy Spirit, I want to yield to Your promptings to change. Help me bring honor to the name of Jesus. Thank You for Your good plans for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
