WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY
Acts 2:46-47 (NIV®)
“Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
REFLECTION
NEVER HESITATE TO OPEN YOUR HEART AND HOME TO OTHERS
People sometimes hesitate to open their hearts and homes to others because they feel they are “less than” in some way. They feel their lives are not very interesting, their home is not grand, their cooking won’t win any blue ribbons, etc. They look around at people who seem to be more and have more, and assume they won’t fit in. God welcomes all kinds of people into His Kingdom, and He wants His Church to reflect that, too. I encourage you to open yourself to people through the gift of hospitality and see what God will do. You don’t have to be a great cook or live in a mansion. Some of the warmest fellowship I’ve ever known has been in a humble home around a simple meal.

YOUR GIFT OF HOSPITALITY
NEVER HESITATE TO OPEN YOUR HEART AND HOME TO OTHERS
Just open your doors and let people know you sincerely care about them, and your smile will take care of the rest.

Heavenly Father, may my home be a place of peace, righteousness, and joy. Help me share that with others. A community of faith is precious in Your sight. Help me participate in and facilitate gathering Your people together to honor You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
