GOD CAN USE ANYONE
Quote for Today
“Above all else, He loves you and chose to measure that love out not in words, but in blood. He loves you enough to give you the greatest gift conceivable. Would such a love allow you to suffer without purpose?”

WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY
Matthew 9:9 (NLT®)
“As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.”
REFLECTION
GOD HAS PLANS SET APART JUST FOR YOU. NO ONE IS EXCLUDED FROM HIS PLANS
I often talk to people who wonder why God would choose them to accomplish His plans. They feel like their family background, their personality, or their lack of influence might disqualify them, or at least limit their possibilities. Jesus’ choice of disciples tells us God can use anyone. Of the original twelve, we know four were fishermen—self-employed men, whose work required hard, physical labor. We know one was a tax collector—an agent of the Roman government who would have been despised by the Jewish population. We know the others’ names, but Scripture doesn’t tell us much else about them. Jesus could have chosen disciples who were high achievers from distinguished families. Instead, He chose people based on their potential. Don’t ever think you are unworthy of being chosen and used by God. He knows everything about you—your history, your personality, your strengths, and your weaknesses—and He has plans set apart just for you.

GOD HAS PLANS SET APART JUST FOR YOU. NO ONE IS EXCLUDED FROM HIS PLANS
God wants your heart more than He wants your pedigree or usefulness. When He has your heart, He has all He needs to form you into all He desires.

Heavenly Father, You are the Author and Source of my life. May faith and obedience arise in my heart as I pause to listen to You. You are the strength of my life, and Your promises describe my future. I rejoice in Your great faithfulness to fulfill Your plans for my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
