REFLECTION
MANY OF US HAVE A PRAYER LIFE THAT IS LESS MEANINGFUL THAN WE WOULD LIKE
Many of us have a prayer life that is less meaningful than we would like. Some of us are hindered in prayer because we grew up hearing polite prayers, the ones where we closed our eyes and took a nap while we were waiting for the amen. Some of us are uninterested because we do not believe God is listening or concerned enough to do anything. Think about your own prayers. Do you believe God really hears you? Do you believe He is powerful enough to act—to save, to redeem, to heal? Do you pray your requests will be aligned with His will, His purposes, His plans? We are in a season when we need more than polite prayers. We are in a season when we need to fall on our knees before Almighty God and plead for healing, deliverance, and direction. Through the blood of Jesus, we can have confidence we are welcome to approach Him and ask anything according to His will—and He will hear us.

The blood of Jesus of Nazareth, God’s only begotten Son, reconciles us to God, the Father, so we can have fellowship with Him. God loves us, hears our prayers, and welcomes us into His family.
