November 10, 2019
Bible Scripture for Today
“"You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.”
Comment on this Command
“This command calls to limit our freedom in order not to offend the tastes of those God has called us to serve.
Going the second mile identifies us with Jesu it eliminates rudeness from our lives and enhances our ability to be like Jesus.”

“Just because someone doesn't do what you want them to do doesn't mean they’re useless. They may be there telling you something about yourself and what you need to change!”

Proverb for Today
“When wickedness comes, so does contempt, and with shame comes reproach.“
Word from Scripture for Today
"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
