1 CORINTHIANS

First-Century Corinth was the leading commercial centre of southern Greece. The city was reknown for its immorality and paganism. But in spite of this, Paul was able to plant a Christian church there on his second missionary journey. But this church was plagued with problems of every kind. Paul writes this letter to deal with some of these problems and to answer questions which the Christians in Corinth had raised on important issues..
