EPHESIANS

This letter is addressed to a group of believers who are very alive in Jesus Christ, but living a very poor existence because they do not know of their wealth, they are living as though they are also spiritual paupers. Paul begins the letter by describing the spiritual blessings found in the heavenly bank account. Drawing upon that “bank balance” the Christian has all the resources he needs to live a life of spiritual grace and he gives lessons on how to walk in the spirit using this wealth.

Quote for Today

“Just because something doesn't do what you planned it to do doesn't mean it's useless.”
  • Thomas A. Edison

Mother Basilea Schlink’s Attitude for Today

"When you are sitting in the depth of your fear, distress and temptation, raise your head and look up. God is not to be found in the depths of your misery, but rather outside of you - above, in the heights of his sanctuary. He is waiting for you to look up to him and call for help, so that he can come to your assistance."
  • Mother Basilea Schlink

Proverb for Today

“Whoever winks with their eye is plotting perversity; whoever purses their lips is bent on evil.”
  • Proverbs 16:30

Word from Scripture for Today

"I know, O LORD, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps."
  • Jeremiah 10:23
