Thought for Today

“The vine and the vineyard were often used in the Old Testament to express God's covenant relation with his people, both in the past and the future. In the New Testament, Jesus reminded His disciples that that to experience God's full blessings, they should strive to be good "vinedressers" (Matthew 20:1-16).

May our lives, then, be characterized by a faith that produces a total dedication in faithful service. As His followers, let's joyfully surrender everything to Christ, who poured out His life for our redemption! Indeed, in doing so:-

We give Thee but Thine own, / Whate'er the gift may be:
All that we have is Thine alone, / A trust, O Lord, from Thee.
May we Thy bounties thus / As stewards true receive,
And gladly, as Thou blessest us, / To Thee our first-fruits give.
