REFLECTION
The "Word of God" is vital and important to the Christian walk for several reasons. Firstly, the Word of God is seen as the ultimate truth and source of divine wisdom, guiding believers in their faith and daily living. It serves as the foundation of Christian doctrine, providing teachings on righteousness, morality, and the nature of God. As Hebrews 4:12 states, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." This illustrates the transformative power of the Word, as it not only informs but also convicts and refines the believer. Furthermore, in John 1:1, the Word is identified with Jesus Christ, emphasizing that through the scriptures, Christians encounter and develop a relationship with Christ. Regular engagement with the Word equips believers to grow spiritually, resist temptation, and live according to God's will, making it an indispensable part of the Christian walk.

“This video will make you want to open your Bible. It breaks down the importance of reading The Bible in a way I’ve never heard before. As Christians we understand that reading The Bible is important but many of us don’t realize just how important.
Reading your Bible is essential in life. Please stop putting it off. Understand that the only reason you are not reading it is because you don’t want to. Pray to God, reach for Christ and keep reading his word even though there may be buckets of tears with each reading.”
