WORD FROM SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
Deuteronomy 29:29 (NIV®)
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever.”
REFLECTION
WE ONLY KNOW WHAT WE NEED TO, ABOUT GOD’S KINGDOM
Journalists are trained to keep asking questions until they know the Five Ws: Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Some Christians are like that, and they become frustrated when they don’t know every Who, What, When, Where, and Why about God’s Kingdom. There is no area of life in which we know everything, but we have this sense of entitlement about spiritual things and think God should reveal everything we want to know. I want to invite you away from that frustration. I am grateful for my intellect, but my God is greater than any human’s ability to completely understand. The Bible clearly says there are some things God has revealed to us and some “secret things” He has held to himself. Sometimes, He gives us insight into His reasons, His plans, and His timing. At other times, He wants us to put our trust completely in Him—without knowing all the answers—and step into the future.

WHAT’S REVEALED IS OURS
WE ONLY KNOW WHAT WE NEED TO, ABOUT GOD’S KINGDOM
“There are four things that the earth itself cannot tolerate: a slave who becomes a king, a fool who has all he wants to eat, a hateful woman who gets married, and a servant woman who takes the place of her mistress.”
Proverbs 30:21-23
“For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10
"Pray more. pray with implicit faith in Jesus' victory. Whenever the victory of Jesus is proclaimed, the enemy yields, since he cannot bear to hear the victorious name of Jesus - and you will more than overcome."
