REFLECTION
JESUS WILL COME AS THE RULER OF THE KINGS OF THE EARTH
When Jesus came to Earth the first time, it was something of a covert mission. The religious leaders were clueless. The king wasn’t paying attention. A few shepherds were given a heads-up and came to see the baby born in a barn. But for the most part, it was an overlooked event. When Jesus comes the second time, everyone on the planet will know it. He’ll come as the ruler of the kings of the earth, “with the clouds, and every eye will see him.” But the Bible seems to suggest that, sadly, the majority of people will not be watching and waiting and will not be prepared for what is to come. Let’s make sure we are prepared for that day. Then, let’s help our families, friends, and neighbors—here and around the world—be prepared as well.
