REFLECTION
PAUL WAS 5 TIMES GIVEN FORTY LAHES BY THE JEWS
We can only imagine what it will mean for Jesus to come “in His glory.” We are introduced to Him as a baby wrapped in cloth and lying in a feed trough (Luke 2:1-20). We meet Him again as an inquisitive boy, already interested in His Father’s Kingdom (Luke 2:41-52). His physical appearance was unremarkable, as Isaiah had prophesied generations before: “He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him” (Isaiah 53:2). But when Jesus returns to the earth and His glory is made fully visible, it will eclipse the light of the sun. The book of Revelation says the heavenly city “has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light” (Revelation 21:23). Add to that the presence of His “ten thousand times ten thousand” accompanying angels (Revelation 5:11). This is Jesus, our Savior and Lord, and I am looking forward to seeing Him in all His glory on that day.
