WORD FROM SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
1 Corinthians 2:3-4 (NLT®)
“I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.”
REFLECTION
YOU ARE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE
Paul had pursued influence in one world, but God drop-kicked him into another world where his influence would be very different. Did you know you, too, are a person of influence? You might be on the top line of an organizational chart or the bottom. You might be in the executive suite or the maintenance shed. But every one of us is in a position of influence through our attitudes, our words, and our actions. God wants us to have the boldness to use that influence to share our faith. This means cultivating a confidence in God. This means tapping into the power of the Holy Spirit. This means pushing past hesitation to take the gospel message to the people in your world. No matter what personality type you are, God intends for you to be a living demonstration of confidence in Him and have courage to tell what He has done. This is the power of the Holy Spirit at work in you.

RELYING ON GOD THE FATHER'S POWER
YOU ARE A PERSON OF INFLUENCE
The power of God’s message is not dependent upon your abilities, but on your willingness to allow the power of His Holy Spirit to work in and through you.
Allen Jackson Ministries
Heavenly Father, pour out Your Spirit and give me a heart for those around me who do not know You. Give me greater boldness to be Your advocate. Open doors beyond any I have ever imagined for the proclamation of the gospel that Jesus’ name might be exalted. In His name, Amen.
