WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY

2 Peter 3:1

“This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder.”

REFLECTION

LET THESE RESULTS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS REVIVE YOUR PASSION FOR HIS SUPREMACY OVER ALL THINGS

“As Easter approaches, let’s stir up our thankfulness and joy and admiration and amazement at what the resurrection of Jesus means for us. The curse of our fallen nature is that what once thrilled us becomes ordinary. The reality hasn’t changed. We have changed.
This is why the Bible exists. Peter says of his two letters that they are written to “stir up” or “arouse” by means of “reminder.”
So, let’s stir up our sincere minds by way of reminder.
What has God done in raising Jesus from the dead? Here are a few biblical answers.
Because of the resurrection of Jesus, we are born again to a living hope.
1 Peter 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
Because of Jesus’s resurrection, he now has the glory for which we were made. Our ultimate destiny is to see him as he is.
1 Peter 1:21: “God . . . raised him from the dead and gave him glory.”
John 17:5, 24: “And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed. . . . Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.”
May the risen Lord Jesus himself awaken and arouse your sincere mind to new depths of worship and allegiance and joy.”

AMAZED AT THE RESURRECTION

LET THESE RESULTS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS REVIVE YOUR PASSION FOR HIS SUPREMACY OVER ALL THINGS

THINK ABOUT IT

The resurrection of Jesus is the cornerstone of our faith, and as His followers, here are four key truths to reflect on: • Victory Over Death – Jesus' resurrection proves that death is not the end for those who believe in Him. Just as He was raised, we, too, have the hope of eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:54-57). This truth removes fear and fills us with joy and confidence in our future with Him. • Assurance of Justification – The resurrection is proof that Jesus’ sacrifice was accepted by God, making us right before Him (Romans 4:25). Because He lives, we are forgiven and stand justified in His grace, no longer condemned but fully accepted as children of God. • Empowered by His Life – Jesus didn’t just rise and ascend—He continues to live and intercede for us (Hebrews 7:25). His resurrection power is at work in us through the Holy Spirit, enabling us to walk in victory, holiness, and boldness as His witnesses (Romans 8:11). • Hope of His Glorious Return – The risen Jesus is reigning in glory and will return to make all things new (Revelation 21:3-5). The resurrection reminds us to live with an eternal perspective, eagerly waiting for the day we will see Him face to face and share in His glory forever (Colossians 3:4).

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, with awe and wonder, I come before You, amazed by the power of the resurrection. Jesus, You were crucified for my sins, buried in the depths of the grave, but on the third day, You rose in victory! Death could not hold You, the grave could not contain You, and sin was defeated forever! I praise You, O Risen King, for You are alive, reigning in glory, and my heart rejoices in this truth! Lord, let the reality of Your resurrection transform me completely. May I live each day in the power of Your victory, unshaken by fear, knowing that death has lost its sting. Fill me with resurrection hope, reminding me that because You live, I, too, shall live eternally with You! Thank You, Jesus, for justifying me through Your perfect sacrifice. No longer am I a prisoner of sin, for Your resurrection declares me forgiven, redeemed, and made new! May my heart overflow with gratitude and my life be a reflection of this glorious grace. Help me to walk in holiness, to reject sin, and to honour You in all I do. Holy Spirit, ignite in me the power that raised Christ from the dead. Strengthen me to live boldly for Jesus, to proclaim His resurrection with passion, and to be a vessel of His love in a broken world. Let my words and actions declare that Jesus is alive! And, Lord, keep my eyes fixed on the hope of Your return. One day, I will see You face to face, clothed in glory, reigning in majesty. Until that day, may I live with unwavering faith, longing for the moment when all things will be made new, when sorrow will cease, and when I will forever worship You in Your presence. Jesus, You are my Risen King, my Living Hope, my Eternal Saviour! I surrender all to You, rejoicing in Your triumph. Be glorified in me today and always. In Your mighty and matchless name, Amen!
