WORD FROM THE HOLY BIBLE FOR TODAY

Genesis 22:14

There are several Bible verses that mention the names of God. Here are a few:

Jehovah Jireh (The Lord Will Provide)Genesis 22:14
"So Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.’"

Jehovah Rapha (The Lord Who Heals)Exodus 15:26
"...for I am the Lord, who heals you."

Jehovah Nissi (The Lord is My Banner)Exodus 17:15
"Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner."

Jehovah Shalom (The Lord is Peace)Judges 6:24
"So Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and called it The Lord Is Peace."

Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord Our Righteousness)Jeremiah 23:6
"This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior."

Jehovah Shammah (The Lord is There)Ezekiel 48:35
"And the name of the city from that time on will be: The Lord is There."

El Shaddai (God Almighty)Genesis 17:1
"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, ‘I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless.’"

El Elyon (The Most High God)Psalm 57:2
"I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me."

El Olam (The Everlasting God)Isaiah 40:28
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth."

These names reveal different aspects of God's nature and character.

REFLECTION

GOD HAS GIVEN MANKIND THE ABILITY TO LEARN ABOUT HIM

“God has given mankind the ability to learn about Him from His creation, and to some He has given a special revelation of Himself through apostles, prophets, and Jesus Christ Himself. He is the substance of all human virtues. He is all-wise and all-knowing. He can do anything and everything we cannot do, and He is everything good that we would like to be. So we say that He is omnipotent (all-powerful) or omniscient (all-knowing) or omnipresent (present everywhere). This video is fantastic! It walks through the names of God from Genesis to Revelation and is set to emotionally powerful music! He is… A perfect God who loves you!” Be Blessed abundantly......

THE NAMES GIVEN TO THE ONE AN ONLY LIVING AND TRUE GOD

GOD HAS GIVEN MANKIND THE ABILITY TO LEARN ABOUT HIM

THINK ABOUT IT

Our response to the Living God, whose names reveal His power, provision, righteousness, and love, should be nothing less than full surrender. We must daily acknowledge His sovereignty by living in obedience to His Word, rejecting sin, and actively pursuing righteousness. No half-hearted devotion or lukewarm faith—our worship must be wholehearted, passionate, and unwavering. If He is Jehovah Jireh, our provider, then we should trust Him completely and reject anxiety. If He is Jehovah Tsidkenu, our righteousness, then we must pursue holiness with urgency. If He is Jehovah Shalom, our peace, then fear has no place in our hearts. Every moment of our lives must reflect our absolute trust and reverence for Him. We must commit ourselves to a life of unshakable faith and relentless love. If we truly believe He is El Shaddai, the Almighty God, then we must pray boldly, act courageously, and speak truth without fear. No excuses, no compromises—just unwavering faith in action. Our love for God should not be passive but demonstrated in the way we love others, forgive quickly, serve selflessly, and proclaim the Gospel without hesitation. We must discipline ourselves to read His Word daily, seek His presence in prayer, and listen to His voice with a heart ready to obey. This is not optional for a true follower of Jesus—it is the only proper response to a God who has given us everything. Every single day, we must make a deliberate decision to exalt Him in our thoughts, words, and deeds. We must reject apathy, fight spiritual complacency, and refuse to be silent when God calls us to speak. If He is truly Jehovah Shammah, the God who is there, then we must walk in constant awareness of His presence, making choices that reflect His holiness. Worship must not be confined to Sunday mornings—it must be the essence of our daily lives. Our devotion should be evident in the way we work, the way we treat others, and the way we carry ourselves. No matter the cost, we must live boldly for His glory, because He alone is worthy of our everything.

PRAYER

O Sovereign Lord, Almighty and Everlasting God, we fall before You in awe and trembling wonder! You are El Shaddai, the All-Powerful One; You are Jehovah Jireh, our unfailing Provider; You are Jehovah Tsidkenu, our Righteousness. Your glory fills the heavens, Your wisdom stretches beyond the stars, and yet Your love reaches down to embrace us! Who are we, Lord, that You should care for us? And yet, in Your infinite mercy and grace, You have called us by name, washed us clean, and clothed us in righteousness. You have given us Jesus, our Savior, our King, our Life! We are not worthy, yet You have made us Yours. So now, O Lord, take all that we are! Burn away every selfish desire, every ounce of pride, and every chain of sin that binds us. We surrender completely—our hearts, our minds, our hands, and our feet. Let every thought be fixed on You, every word reflect Your truth, and every action mirror the life of Jesus. Make us vessels of Your love, instruments of Your peace, and warriors of Your righteousness. Teach us to love as You love, to serve as You serve, to forgive as You forgive. Let Your fire consume us, so that we may shine with the brightness of Your glory in this dark world! Jesus, our Lord, we long to be like You! Shape us, break us, mold us—whatever it takes to conform us to Your image. Strip away our complacency and set our souls ablaze with holy passion! May we hunger and thirst for righteousness, may we never grow weary in seeking You, and may we never back down from proclaiming Your name. Use us, Lord, for Your Kingdom. Let our lives be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to You. Until our last breath, may we live boldly, love fiercely, and stand firm in faith. You alone are our God, our King, our everything! We are Yours forever. Amen!
