“When I came back to my hometown to serve at World Outreach Church, our small congregation was sitting on rented chairs in a rented room. We could only afford those because of the generosity of a businessman who respected my parents. Then, we upgraded and started meeting in a tent. On the day I went to get the permit to have electricity turned on in the tent, the person working in that department was a high school classmate of mine. When she asked why we needed electricity in a tent, I replied that a church would be meeting there. “And what do you have to do with that?” she asked. “Well, I’m a pastor now.” She laughed so hard she nearly fell out of her chair! When you tell people you’re serving the Lord, you may get a similar reaction from people who have known you for a while—and that’s a good thing. That just opens the door for you to say, “Let me tell you what Jesus is doing in my life. Do you have a church home you attend?””

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me a story to tell others about Your faithfulness and how I became reconciled to You through Jesus’ sacrifice. May I gracefully walk through every door of opportunity You grant me to tell others about Your amazing grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Do not forget to set time aside daily to remember the good things that God has done for you. such a time of remembrance will bring you God's blessing and cause your trust in him to grow strong, so that you will more than overcome in your difficulties and struggles.
